San Mateo County Environmental Health Department sponsors a FREE countywide program to collect, recycle and properly dispose of household hazardous waste. San Mateo County Residents may drop off a full range of HHW at our Collection Events. These collections are held virtually every week, rotating around eight locations on a monthly or quarterly basis. Residents can make an appointment for any city in the County (not just the city of residence) Make an appointment to get the address and directions to this event. NOTE: Collection event's are held every Friday and Saturday in San Mateo. Visit http://www.smhealth.org/hhw to make an appointment (or call 650-363-4718 and select option 3).
