About

Water Pollution Prevention Public Service Announcement
San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program produced the “Water Spot, Sweeper” public service announcement, that began airing on Cable Television in 2008.  This most recent commercial is animated and informs viewers that storm drains lead directly to local waterways.  It also advertises the new Program logo and name.

Dirty Word Public Service Announcement
The San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program and San Mateo County Environmental Health have joined forces to produce a series of Dirty Words © public service announcements, that were featured on Cable television. The bilingual campaign covers many “dirty words” that are causes of stormwater pollution.

Our Watershed Public Service Announcement
The Our Watershed media campaign debuted in 2003, featuring TV, radio and bus advertising in San Mateo County and throughout the Bay Area.  The public service announcement focuses on the negative consequences of litter and how it ends up in the Bay and our local watershed.

Our Water, Our World Retail Partnership, Henry’s Garden KRON 4
The San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program teams up with local businesses to provide the public with products and information about less-toxic pest control.  This KRON 4 video clip features our partnering store, Orchard Supply Hardware in Foster City, and discusses how viewers can look for “shelf talkers” and “fact sheets” in participating stores to help them in choosing less-toxic pest control options for a healthy home and garden
