The San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program produced a report in 2019 titled Green Infrastructure Funding Nexus Evaluation and in 2014 titled Potential Funding Source Analysis and Recommendations to support the development of a countywide stormwater quality funding initiative. The 2014 report presents a range of potential funding sources, including balloted, non-balloted, development-driven and legislative approaches to ensure long-term funding for municipal stormwater services. The report concludes with several recommendations that the Countywide Program may consider in further exploring a funding initiative. The 2014 report was revisited and updated in 2019, Green Infrastructure Funding Nexus Evaluation, and to which the original report is included as a reference.

The updated report builds on the 2014 report and focuses on addressing the future funding needs to meet Regional Water Board requirements to implement green infrastructure. Click the covers below to review each document as a PDF.
