Rain Barrel Rebate Eligibility

Answer the questions below to help you determine if you are eligible for a rain barrel rebate and for how much! Please note that rebates are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until all funds are expended or through the program expiration date of June 30, 2024, whichever comes first.

#1 – Will the rain barrel be installed in San Mateo County?

Yes!

No.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for the San Mateo countywide rebate program. Contact your municipal government to see if they have a rebate program.

#2 – Have you reached your lifetime maximum of two (2) rebates per single-family residential water account or four (4) rebates per multi-family residential or commercial water account?

No!

Yes.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible because you have already applied and received the maximum rain barrel rebates with your current account. These rebate limits are for the life of the account. You will be eligible again if you acquire a new account within San Mateo County.

#3 – Is your water district any of the 10 listed?

Yes.

No.

City of Burlingame

City of Daly City

City of Millbrae

City of Redwood City, not including CalWater customers

City of San Bruno

City of San Mateo

Menlo Park Municipal Water

Mid-Peninsula Water District

Congratulations! You qualify for the following rebate amounts (per rebate):

50 – 99 gallons: Up to a $50 rebate per barrel
100 – 199 gallons: Up to $100 rebate per barrel
200 or more gallons: Up to $150 rebate per barrel

Please note that the rebate is for the amounts listed above OR the total cost of the rain barrel, excluding sales tax, whichever is less.
